Meningitis B Vaccination NHS Service
We offer the free NHS Meningitis B vaccination Service at our pharmacy for eligible patients. Following recent outbreaks in early 2026, the NHS has launched an urgent, time-limited community pharmacy vaccination programme. Starting Monday, 20 July 2026, eligible individuals can get free NHS MenB vaccine directly at our pharmacy.
Why it’s important to get vaccinated?
Meningitis B is a fast-moving, life-threatening infection that causes inflammation of the brain lining and sepsis (blood poisoning). It can become critical within hours. Getting both doses before the autumn term starts is the best way to ensure you are fully protected before arriving at campus.
Are You Eligible for the Free NHS Vaccine?
The NHS catch-up campaign is free for individuals in England who meet specific age and education criteria. Check the checklist below to see if you can receive your free vaccination under this service:
- Year 13 School Leavers: Anyone born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008.
- University Freshers: Anyone born on or after 21 July 2001 who is starting undergraduate higher education for the first time in autumn 2026.
- Residential FE Students: Anyone born on or after 21 July 2001 who is moving into further education residential accommodation or halls of residence for the first time this autumn.
- International Students: Eligible under-25 students coming to the UK for their first year of higher education this autumn.
